With a search party out in the Sespe looking for the motherless nest, James and I spent the day up top at Hopper, stationed at two different oil pads signaling for the father. That way, if we saw him flying west toward the search party, we could give them a head's up to start looking for a possible nest entry.
By the end of the day, we were no closer to finding the nest.
