Today, James and I spent the day being given a guided tour of the Wind Wolves Preserve by Katie. Wind Wolves is lovely, a dramatic landscape. Not looking forward though to driving around in the dark there. Easy to get lost. Not a lot of reliable cell service. Hmm...

Signaling for condors.

When Katie suggested making this spot the new feeding site, we were looking for a distinguishing feature to name it (à la Green Tanks, Silver Tanks, etc.) Well, there is a large boulder. I joked that we could call it The Rock Feeding Site, or to be a little more obscure, the Dwayne Johnson Feeding Site (or DJFS). However, as far as I know this suggestion has never been repeated in the hallowed halls of the Fish and Wildlife Service office. It was pretty funny to contemplate though. And we did.

Keep your eyes peeled and you might catch sight of Tule elk roaming the hills.

We also came up with a new hip drink: a Condor on the Rocks. Any suggestions as to a recipe?
